Invite-Only Beta Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 10, 2026 · Version: 2026-10-10
Plain-English Summary: Slinga is an invite-only personal running atlas run by Danny McVey on private hardware. It is provided "as-is" for personal workout logging and route visualization, is not a medical device, and lets you export or permanently delete your data at any time.

1. Invite-Only Beta Nature & Eligibility

Slinga is an experimental, invite-only beta software service operated by Danny McVey. Access requires a verified email address explicitly added to the instance invite list. Invitations may be revoked at any time, which immediately terminates active browser sessions and paired device tokens.

2. Not Medical Advice or a Medical Device

Slinga and its optional local coaching summaries, heat-safety indicators, heart-rate charts, and route suggestions are for informational and recreational running reflection only. Slinga is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always use independent judgment regarding road safety, trail access, weather, and canine heat safety.

3. Acceptable Use & Data Uploads

4. Account Isolation & Administrator Role

Each invited runner account is isolated by its authenticated identity (`user_sub`) and mapped PulsHealth UUID. Your workouts, GPS routes, journal notes, and heatmaps are private to your account and are never visible to other beta members. Because this beta runs on self-hosted infrastructure operated by Danny McVey, the system operator maintains the underlying host storage solely for service operation, backups, and security maintenance.

5. Your Data Rights: Export, Consent Withdrawal & Deletion

You retain full ownership of the running workouts and journal notes you upload or sync. At any time from the Settings screen, you can:

6. "As-Is" Beta Disclaimer

Slinga is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Always keep your own primary copy of your Strava exports or Apple Health archive.
